When you think of Sleep Number, you immediately think of its iconic adjustable design, so, naturally, this mattress’s customizable firmness level is the first thing that sticks out. With just a few taps, you can create your perfect comfort level, taking advantage of its iconic support. Another thing that sticks out about this mattress is its improved cooling and pressure relief features, which come thanks in part to a ceramic gel layer that draws heat away for enhanced breathability. But perhaps the coolest feature about this bed — which truly makes it smart — is that along with adjusting the bed’s firmness, the integrated app also offers SleepIQ technology, which tracks stress, sleep quality, and all-around sleep insights.
How It Performed
For Brian, this mattress completely changed the way both he and his wife slept. It all started when they noticed a change in their old mattress. “Our previous memory foam mattress was losing support, which made it uncomfortable to sleep on and to even get out of bed,” he shared. What We Loved

Good to Know
Sleep Number mattresses require a firm, flat surface to properly perform. If you have a platform bed, you’re all set. However, if you have a box spring setup, you’ll need to swap out your traditional box spring for something like Sleep Number’s Integrated Base or an adjustable base.
Another thing to note is that while the mattress can easily be controlled by the app, you can also opt for a physical remote (sold separately).
